I've now ordered takeout from here on Grubhub twice in two weeks.
I have been looking for a solid (and expansive menu) dim sum place for a while, and came across this. I ordered the shrimp balls, shrimp and chive dumplings, prawns with honey and cashews, and chow mein. I then repeated this the next time but took out the chow mein and honey walnut shrimp and got chow fun.
I was not a fan of the chow mein, but really, this was my fault. I don't like crispy noodles, but if this is your thing, you will like it! The flavor was good and the portion large. The dumplings were awesome! I didn't know what to expect with 'shrimp ball' but it's essentially a shrimp in a ball of noodle so I don't know how you could go wrong. The shrimp and chive dumplings were my favorite, next time I may just order a ton of these (they are like $2.95 for 3 so it's a good deal).
The chow fun was fantastic - I got the seafood, and next time I'm going to see if they can make it vegetarian as the seafood was just a little overcooked for my liking. Lastly, the honey walnut shrimp was as you would expect - fried shrimp with dressing. The portion size on this was generous, and they arrived at my door still crispy and warm.
JB Garden will definitely be in my rotating list of delivery restaurants when I'm feeling a need for a little comfort food. -

The food here is terrible. We ordered some food for delivery through Grubhub. We ordered a variety of dimsum items as well as the sesame chicken, seafood chow mein Hong Kong style and half a roasted duck. The shui mai literally looked and tasted like it was microwaved then dried out. It tasted like old, dried out meat. The seafood chow mein is 10.75 and had like 3 tiny shrimp and 3 pieces of squid tentacles. I specifically asked for the noodles to be separated from the sauce for the noodles and for the sesame chicken sauce to be on the side, but everything came together and things were spilled and all over the bags.
The chicken feet also tasted kind of old, but flavor was acceptable. The shrimp dumpling was alright. The duck was also very dry and tasted old. I don't think I'll ever come back to this place. It was definitely a waste of money. The only thing I liked from here was the Malaysian cake, which was fluffy and pretty flavorful. -

Had food order delivered to work:
Got general tso's chicken - took two bites and threw it out. Was rubbery, flavorless, and mostly breading.
In the same order, I got chicken and broccoli as well. It smelled so bad I didn't even try it - it went straight into the trash.
Avoid the restaurant at all costs. -

I love this place. The prices are UNBEATABLE and the staff is so kind and thoughtful. They often throw in extra stuff for free when you're waiting for your food. While it may not be the highest quality, the cheap prices make it more than 100% worth it.

I feel sad to update this but I feel like it must be known. I've been a patron of this place for a few years but the quality of the food had gone down a few notches. I always order the same things, like the BBQ pork bun, coconut bun, and the custard bun. Unfortunately, it hasn't been up to its old standards. The bread is hard, no matter the time I ordered, the BBQ is often burnt, sometimes the bread also. I would find chunks of burnt meat inside my bun at times. I used to come here at least once a week for my lunch breaks, now I don't see it being as often, it will be more than likely for me to skip it now. I hope they go back to their old ways.
